Also heute gibt sich der Montag wirklich redlich Mühe, kein Tag wie jeder andere zu sein.

I guess we don't really have a native speaker around, but we could help one another because the levels of English vary vastly, I guess. And there may be those with a big vocabulary but lack a sense of grammar and the other way round. Then there are those who don't really feel like they're really good and who need an environment where it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them. I would consider my English far from perfect, but at least good enough to point out some mistakes others may have made and to correct them to my abilities. Still I don't mind being corrected on my mistakes as well, because there is a lot of stuff that I do wrong out of habit and need to get out of my system. So yeah, I'm glad if someone calls me out on that as well. So if I utttered some of those "oddly constructed" sentences in here: Give it a shot and tell me how to make it better.

Ich kenne das Gefühl, Ulfmann. Bei uns geht es auf die Aufführung zu, was bedeutet, jede Woche nicht nur Donnerstags Abends Probe, sondern auch am Wochenende. Dazu kommt dann die Hochzeit unseres Chorleiters, für den wir auch was singen werden, weswegen wir momentan auch Dienstags noch eine Probe haben. Mit Gesangsunterricht am Freitag, bleibt mir inzwischen noch der Montag und der Mittwoch, die "frei" sind. Was allerdings auch meistens dazu führt, dass ich da Termine mache, weil ich da mal kann. Diese Woche kommt am Sonntag noch eine Vorstandssitzung dazu...also nach Oktober werde ich vermutlich wieder viel mehr Zeit haben. Spontan ist gerade nicht so. Edit: Was neinal sagt: Selbstgewählte Schicksale.

Nein. Aber ich habe so einige Gespräche über die Jahre gehabt, bei denen Themen aufkamen, von denen man vielleicht mal gehört hat aber keinen direkten Bezug hatte.

Ich habe Gefühlswelten gesehen, die haben mein Vorstellungsvermögen zu dem Zeitpunkt übertroffen und danach geweitet.

Im Zweifel kenne ich die. Ich habe schon so viele Gefühlswelten gesehen und selbst erlebt...

Ich habe nicht "nur" geschrieben. Auch andere Umfelder haben Dich sozialisiert. Aber DAS Umfeld eben auch. Wobei. Vielleicht wurde J auch durch Dich sozialisiert.... ...und am Ende ist da immer noch Kaddi.

Man merkt, dass Du durch gewisse Leute sozialisiert wurdest, die ich auch kenne. Das gefällt mir.

Alles andere hätte ich als Antwort nicht gelten gelassen.

Once in a while the person stops, blows the dust off of the old posts, examines them. There must be a reason why the citizens abandoned this thread. Moving closer, the person seems to be even more determined to find out what happened here. She knows it's a tough place to be in. Being the only English thread in a German Forum is no easy task. But it sustained for a while. There seems to have been a need. Then she finds out that the one person that started it all seemed to have been busy too much to look out for the thread and therefore played a keyrole in the abandonement of this thread. Then the person remembered. It was she herself. She let the thread die down, linger in the depths of the Coffeehouse with questions unanswered, posts uncorrected. She cried when the revelation hit her. But then she stood up. Determination in her face. And though she was alone, she clenched her fists, looked up and said out loud: "I will fix this! This thread will live again!"

VoIP-Telefone, aber ja: Telefone.

Quasi. Dass man Dich anrufen kann und nicht auf die Box weitergeleitet ist und dass ich das Telefon benutzen kann. Dafür muss ich das erst einmal entsperren aka aufschließen. Sieh das Telefon wie einen Rechner, an den man sich erst einmal anmelden muss. So ist das hier. Ich melde mich gegen Feierabend am Telefon ab. Damit kann keiner hingehen und mein Telefon benutzen. Zumindest nicht mit meiner Nummer.

Ich mag diese Montage, wo Du erst kurz vor Mittag wirklich Deinen Browser startest und das Telefon aufschließt, weil vorher halt schlicht keine Zeit dafür war....
