Hoi, hab mir die MS Intelli Explorer 3.0 geholt, nur über USB funzt die ned, da es mit meinem VIA KT266 Board zu nem Bug kommt das die Maus nach ner Zeit einfach aus geht.

Dafür gibts auch nen Patch nur der hat irgendwie ned gehofen, nu wollt ich mal wissen was an PS2 überhaupt schlächter als USB ist?

Und wenn ihr noch ne Idee habt was noch helfen könnte: raus mit der Sprache

Für das Anschliessen einer Maus gibt es im Grunde genommen keine bemerkenswerten Unterschiede. USB hat eine höhere Datenübertragungsrate als PS/2, es lassen sich mehrere Geräte (bis zu 127) hintereinander anschliessen, es ist Plug'n'Play fähig, sprich Geräte anstecken und das Betriebssystem (Windows) erkennt die neue Hardware.

Ich selbst habe ebenfalls eine IntelliMouse Explorer und benutze diese an PS/2 - der Vorteil ist, die USB Anschlüsse bleiben noch frei für andere Geräte, denn außer Maus und Tastatur wird an PS/2 eigentlich nichts angeschlossen. USB hingegen kann vielerei Arten von Geräte ansteuern, z.B. Maus, Tastatur, Scanner, Digitalkamera, Webcam, etc.

Jo jo, aber gibt es für ne Maus sonst keinen Vorteil wenn ich die an USB anstatt PS2 anschließe?

die Datenrate von mindestens 9600 bps am PS/2 Port reicht für die Abtastrate der Mouse völlig aus und du kannst sie auch bedenkenlos dort anschliessen, es entstehen keine Vor- oder Nachteile ggü. dem Anschluss via USB.
