Tipp: .NET Programmierung unter Win98

Hallo,

Normalerweise kann man unter Win98 keine .NET-Programmiersprachen (C#, VB.NET etc.) nutzen, da hier das .NET SDK ( Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Software Development Kit) nicht läuft.

Was unter Win98 sehr wohl läuft, ist das Redist (Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable), das man benötigt, um mit .NET erstellte Applikationen auszuführen.

Und genau hier gibt es eine Lösung:

funktioniert, mit dem unter

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en

erhältlichen Redistributable.

Das Redistributable enthält nämlich ebenfalls die Compiler (jedoch ohne Dokumentation).

Ausprobiert habe ich es, und es hat funktioniert!

Beim Schließen des #develop erhalte ich hin und wieder eine Exception "Feature requires Windows NT", aber dies beeinträchtigt die Funktionalität nicht

#develop (die Entwicklungsumgebung, der "Ersatz fürs Visual Studio") ist übrigens dem VisualStudio in Funktionsweise und Aussehen äußerst ähnlich.

das .NET SDK kann man doch unter Win98 installieren, wie ich herausgefunden habe!

Zunächst muss nachwievor das Redistributable installiert werden (dies ist IMHO nicht nur bei Win98 der Fall).

Dann geht's weiter wie in der folgenden Beschreibung, die ich aus dem Internet habe.

Short instructions on installing .Net SDK in Windows 98.

Microsoft does not recommend this and the installer you download will tell you to upgrade to NT, 2000 or XP. If you’ve a Windows 98 machine that has atleast 600MB free disk space and 64MB RAM, you can install .Net. Here is how I installed it. It compiles the "Hello World" C# program. I’ve not tried other stuff though.

Download the SDK (setup.exe) from MSDN.

From Start menu, choose "Run" and give full_path_to_download\setup.exe /C.

This will prompt you to choose the folder to which you want to extract files. Specify a folder and wait till extraction is complete.

Go to the folder you specified.

Run the MSI file in that folder. If you can’t run it, that is because Microsoft Installer is not installed in your system. You can install it by running InstMSIW.exe.

Wait, wait, wait till the installer says it is finished. Towards the end of installation, it seems to just sleep for several minutes. Don’t cancel.

Now get SharpDevelop (or spend 100s of dollars on Visual Studio.Net) and start writing code!

Ich empfehle, nach Möglichkeit das .NET SDK zu installieren, da hier - im Gegensatz zum Redistributable - eine Doku vorhanden ist.

Allerdings benötigt das .NET SDK mehr Speicherplatz als das Redistributable.

bei der Installation des SDK taucht zwischendurch diese Fehler auf:

Error 1406. Could not write value SDK_Samples to key UNKNOWN\Features\6D1DB9BEBFD84C8429B701BB74AC953B. Verify that you habe sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Abort Retry Ignore

einfach mit [ignore] weitergehen!
