Suse 8.2 - KDE 3.1 - X

Hi ihr

XFree86 Version 4.3.0

Ich habe hier eine Suse 8.2 Maschine und habe mir heute einen TFT - NEC MultiSync LCD 1860NX gekauft.

Also Graka habe ich eine G4Ti 4800.....

Leider kann ich aber die Auflösung 1280*1024 nicht auf dem TFT fahren da X nicht mitspielt....

Ich habe folgende X-Version:

XFree86 Version 4.3.0

Unter Windows kann ich die Auflösung ohne Probleme mit 70 KHz fahren...

Wenn ich als Monitor den : LCD -> 1280X1024@70Hz wähle sagt er immer

X-Server Test fehlgeschalgen:

(EE) s3(0) no valid modes left

(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable confiugration

Ich denke das es an der Graka liegt ( denn er sagt ja s3(0)) und als Graka hab ich S3 86c764/765 (s3)

Wie kann ich nun meine Auflösung auf 1280*1024 bringen ?

Bin für jeden Tipp dankbar

Ich würde Sax2 zum einstellen benutzen. Bei Sax2 musst die Grafikkartenauflösung und die Monitorauflösung auf 1280*1024 setzen, vielleicht klappt es dann. :confused:

Schon alles versucht :/

Ich hab auch gemerkt das meine Graka als s3 erkannt wird obwohl ich eine geforce4Ti hab :/

Also hab ich versucht die Nvidia Treiber zu installieren, doch der spinnt noch mehr rum -> siehe hier:

hehe nur das der Kernel mit der gleichen gcc Version kompiliert wurde wie ich jetzt versuche den Treiber zu kompilieren siehe hier ->

Nur irgendwie erstellt er keine nvidia.o in keinem Verzeichniss :/ und im Syslog steht auch nix...

Meine Kernelsourcen liegen unter /usr/src/linux

Er kompiliert es ja auch einwandfrei siehe hier:

Hab das src RPM von Suse heruntergeladen als es müsste das selbe sein :/

Obwohl mir fällt gerade auf das das eine 62 und das andere 4GB ist :/ hat das was zu bedeuten?

Mehr war ja nicht zur Auswahl..
