Hallo, ich habe mir ein PHPBB Forum zugelegt mit dem Style PHPXP2. In diesem Style ist eine Readme beigelegt in der folgendes steht:

This theme is to be used only for the promotion of Windows XP and

its associated products. As the theme developer I am not liable for

any legal action that may be taken against anyone who uses this theme

against the wishes of Microsoft®.

So nun muss ich sagen ich nutze das Forum nicht um Microsoft zu bewerben sondern um ein Board anderes Zweckes zu hosten was jedoch auch Richtung IT geht... Mache ich mich nun strafbar wenn ich das Board NICHT für MS einsetze?

Der Autor sagt ja nur, dass die Grafiken die er nutzt wohl aus win "geklaut" sind und somit nach den Lizenzbedingungen nur für die Promotion von XP genutzt werrden dürfen. Wenn du das theme anderweitig einsetzt, übernimmt er keine Verantwortung, falls ein MS Anwalt dir einen netten Brief schreibt.

Sprich, er geht davon aus, dass es nicht gerade legal ist, das zu nutzen für anderweitige Zwecke... aber er überlässt es dir, zu entscheiden, ob du es dennoch tust.
